During the week of May 25th, iMMAP software developer Mark Yarmoshuk and RCMRD developer John Gitau met with iMMAP staff Anna Schemper (currently working with WFP Logistics) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to collaborate on finalization of the gROADS PDA software. The PDA tool was developed over the month of May using opensource software Cyber Tracker (www.cybertracker.org); when Mark arrived in Addis, development was nearly complete. However, the team convened several meetings with WFP staff investigating the tool’s practicability and field-readiness. Based on feedback from these meetings, final changes to the software were implemented and the team spent the remainder of their time in Addis developing appropriate training materials to be used in conjunction with the tool (see attached).
